Stink Currant
Ribes bracteosum
This unarmed shrub, found in moist to wet places from low to subalpine elevations, derives its common name from the unpleasant odor of the leaves when crushed.
When in bloom, the tiny, greenish-white flowers form long clusters on a long erect stem. The edible blue to black berries that replace the flowers in autumn, range in quality of flavor from poor to tasty.
