Spring Valley Ranch/Kim
Description of the habitat preservation and restoration at the Kim Parcel adjacent Spring Valley Ranch
In 2007, the Friends partnered with the city of Federal Way and King County to purchase and preserve the Kim Property, a 10-acre parcel adjacent to Spring Valley Ranch.
We have begun an invasive weed control and native plant restoration project at the Kim site. This project will begin to re-establish a native plant community along the property's pond and Hylebos Creek tributary. Funding has been provided by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's Community Salmon Program, King County and the Port of Tacoma.
