The Hylebos Stream Team
Overview of the Hylebos Stream Team Program
The Hylebos Stream Team program gets people involved in their watershed!
We all want to contribute to a healthier world, but it can be a challenge to find a way to make a real difference. The Hylebos Stream Team provides volunteers with a variety of significant volunteer opportunities to choose from.
Stream Team'ers are making our watershed better for native salmon and wildlife. Between 2000 and 2006, our volunteers planted more than 55,000 native trees, shrubs, and emergents, and helped us restore more than 8 acres of wetlands, several thousand feet of stream and more than 10 acres of upland habitat. Stream Team'ers also perform water quality monitoring and salmon surveys, helping us keep an eye on the health of the Hylebos.
