Hylebos Conservation Programs
Description of the Friends' conservation programs
The Friends operates a variety of programs to directly and indirectly enhance the health and quality of the Hylebos Creek Watershed.
The Hylebos Creek Conservation Initiative is our comprehensive watershed conservation strategy and provides a framework for our conservation efforts.
The Friends' effort regarding the SR 167 Highway Extension Project is helping to ensure this highway megaproject will avoid harm to Hylebos Creek, and helping to develop a huge preservation and restoration effort for the lower Hylebos.
The Hylebos Stream Team provides interested volunteers with substantive volunteer opportunities for habitat restoration, water quality monitoring and salmon watching.
The Friends operates several projects to conserve the West Hylebos Wetlands and enhance access and use of this popular park.
The Public Awareness Program connects people to the Hylebos Watershed and provides information about how individuals can be involved.
