Ever wondered how a small community group could improve stream habitat?  Come join us on the picket fence project and we'll show you!  The Friends, along with Natural Systems Design and EarthCorps are embarking on a project to guide other community groups in stream restoration...

What does this mean?  On this day, we will be installing (read pounding) 3 foot long stakes into the stream bed to stabilize and diversify the habitat. 

This is physical work, and is probably inappropriate for anyone under 16 years of age.
